ANNUAL SUMMER TOURNAMENT 30TH JUNE AND 1ST JULY 2007
Charlestown Youth FC 2 v The Weather 0
On June 30th / July 1st Charlestown Youth FC held there 10th Annual summer soccer tournament at Trewoon Park, St.Austell. With over 700 boys and girls representing 85 teams from all parts of Cornwall and Devon a very succesful weekend was enjoyed by all. The torrential rain on Saturday had potentialy threatened to ruin the weekend party but on Sunday morning the BBQ was restoked the rainclouds disappeared and the sun began to shine over Trewoon. At 10.00 hours all that could be heard was the blast of the referees whistles and football once again kicked off . Following a very successful weekend both on the pitch and behind the scenes with the clubs fundraising activities Charlestown Youth FC would like to say a very big thank you to everybody that took part and supported their 2007 annual tournament . When the wet and soggy five pound notes have been counted and dried out Charlestown Youth FC will be making a donation to local charity.
