Charlestown Youth Football Club was founded in 1972 and has gradually evolved from a few boys (member of 2nd Charlestown Scout group) playing on a park pitch in Charlestown under the name of Charlestown Utd.  The number of members has increased over the years and we currently have 20 league teams with 330 youth members ranging from 5-16 years (boys and girls) playing on 6 pitches.

Club’s Objective :
To arrange social activities and association football matches for its members

 

•Volunteer Organisation.
•1972 : Originally formed as an extension of 2nd Charlestown Scout group under the name of Charlestown United.
•1993 : Moved from Charlestown Park to Trewoon.
•2000 : Reconfigured Trewoon Pitch layout.
•2002 : Introduced Girls Football. 
•2003 : Changed name to Charlestown Youth Football Club
         : Refurbished Changing Room facilities.
•2004 : FA Charter Standard Club.
         : Formed a Football link with Luxuylan PS
•2005 : Acquired land and planning Permission for Football Pitches / Buildings / Carpark at St Mewan Park (Nanphyssick)
 : Formed a Football link with StMewan PS /
Carclaze PS / Charlestown PS
•2006 : Received 2006 FA Charter Standard Club Award
•2006 : Mini-soccer centre set up for children ages 5-7
